[fhb] Reminder - Nominations Due Sept 15 for USWBSI Leadership Positions

Dear FHB Community,

 

As was shared a few weeks ago, the U.S. Wheat & Barley Scab Initiative
(USWBSI) is now accepting open nominations for its leadership positions on
the Steering Committee and for members of the listed coordinated project
committees. If you haven't had a chance to submit your nomination(s), please
make sure to do so by completing the  <https://forms.gle/dRNaBCT2xau4wDSb8>
USWBSI Nominations form this Wednesday, September 15.

 

USWBSI Steering Committee Positions

The following positions have Steering Committee members with terms expiring
on 12/31/21. The current Steering Committee members in these positions are
noted and all have confirmed their interest in continuing their service and
are willing to be reappointed.

*	Crop Protection Industry - Kevin Thorsness, Bayer CropScience
*	Durum Growers - Dustin Johnsrud, North Dakota Wheat Commission
*	Pasta Industry - Alexis Freier-Johnson, 8th Avenue Food & Provisions
*	Pathology (Wheat) - Pravin Gautam, BASF
*	Spring Wheat Growers - Bryan Jorgensen, Jorgensen Land & Cattle

 

USWBSI Coordinated Project Member Positions

The following Coordinated Project committees have members with terms
expiring on 12/31/21. 

*	Durum Coordinated Projects Committee

*	Hard Winter Wheat Coordinated Projects Committee
*	Variety Development and Host Resistance Spring Wheat Coordinated
Projects Committee

 

Anyone receiving this message may submit a nomination, self-nominations are
welcome and reappointments are permissible.  

 

Submit your nominations by completing the
<https://forms.gle/dRNaBCT2xau4wDSb8> USWBSI Nominations form by September
15. Submissions must include the name and affiliation of the nominee, the
area they would be representing (refer to lists above), and a short
biographical sketch on the nominee along with confirmation of the acceptance
of the nomination and indication that they agree to carry-out the duties and
responsibilities as described. 

 

Full committee listings and terms are posted for all the

and details governing the filling of vacancies, along with the
responsibilities, can be found in the

Procedures. Current members of the Steering Committee will vote in October
to confirm appointments, all new terms start on January 1, 2022.
