The wheat crop is Kansas is heading and flowering this week in southeastern
the south central regions of the state. The risk of severe Fusarium head
blight remains low in this area despite multiple rain showers. The model is
indicating an area of moderate risk in east central KS but to the best of my
knowledge the wheat is not flowering in this area of the state. Continue to
monitor conditions carefully as the risk of disease could increase rapidly
if the rain continues and warmer temperatures return.
