[FHB Update - Central GP, Hard Winter Wheat]

To date it appears that most areas of Kansas have escaped any significant outbreaks of Fusairum head blight (FHB) this year.  Some areas of Northeast Kansas were under moderate levels of risk at the end of flowering when they are still vulnerable to infection, but to date I have received only reports of low or trace levels of FHB. The wheat in this area of the state has not been harvested yet, and we should know more about any potential damage from FHB in the next 10 days.
