Dear FHB Community,

 

The U.S. Wheat & Barley Scab Initiative (USWBSI) is now
<https://forms.gle/Zf7yaFv2apFg1jSv9> accepting open nominations for its
leadership positions for several members of the Research Area and
Coordinated Project Committees.

 

USWBSI Research Area and Coordinated Project Open Member Positions

Committee members serve an important role in the development of the USWBSI
research plan and budget and are instrumental to the funding review process.
Members serve a 4-year term and may be reappointed. The following Research
Area and Coordinated Project Committees have members with terms expiring at
the end of this year:

*	FHB Management (MGMT) Committee
*	Food Safety and Toxicology (FST) Committee
*	Gene Discovery & Engineering Resistance (GDER) Committee
*	Pathogen Biology & Genetics (PBG) Committee
*	Barley Coordinated Project (BAR-CP) Committee
*	Hard Winter Wheat Coordinated Projects Committee
*	Variety Development - Spring Wheat (SPR) Coordinated Projects
Committee
*	Variety Development - Northern Soft Winter Wheat (NWW) Coordinated
Projects Committee

 

Anyone receiving this message may submit a nomination for a colleague to
serve as a member of one of these committees, self-nominations are also
welcome, and reappointments are permissible.  

 

Submit your nominations by completing the
<https://forms.gle/ihSphMs5ixEFQYMo8> USWBSI Nominations form by September
15. Submissions must include the name and affiliation of the nominee, the
area they would be representing (refer to list above), and a short
biographical sketch on the nominee along with confirmation of the acceptance
of the nomination and indication that they agree to carry-out the duties and
responsibilities as described.

and details governing the filling of vacancies, along with the
responsibilities, can be found in the

Current members of the Steering Committee will vote in October to confirm
appointments, all new terms start on January 1, 2023.
