[fhb] Now Accepting USWBSI Leader Nominations - Due Sept 10

Dear FHB Community,

The U.S. Wheat & Barley Scab Initiative (USWBSI) is now accepting open
nominations for its leadership positions. Anyone receiving this message may
submit a nomination for a colleague, self-nominations are also welcome, and
reappointments are permissible. Submit your nominations by completing the
<https://forms.gle/jwtFZ81iGkspBFN87> USWBSI Leadership Nominations form by
September 10. You may submit more than one nomination, simply complete a
separate form for each nominee.

 

USWBSI Steering Committee Positions

The USWBSI Steering Committee composition is designed to represent all of
the research and commercial sectors impacted by FHB. The following
representative positions will have openings with terms starting January 1,
2026. Members serve a 4-year term and may be reappointed. 

 

Steering Committee Nominations Being Accepted for:

*	Wheat Grower Representative
*	Durum Grower Representative
*	Pasta Industry Representative

 

USWBSI Research Area and Coordinated Project Open Member Positions

Committee members serve an important role in the development of the USWBSI
research plan and budget and are instrumental to the funding review process.
The following committees will have member openings with terms starting
January 1, 2026. Nominations will be provided to the RA/CP for
consideration. Members serve a 4-year term and may be reappointed.

 

RA/CP Nominations Being Accepted for:

*	FHB Management (MGMT) Committee
*	Food Safety & Toxicology (FST) Committee
*	Durum Coordinated Project (DUR-CP) Committee
*	Hard Winter Wheat Coordinated Project (HWW-CP) Committee
*	Variety Development - Spring Wheat Coordinated Project (VDHR-SPR)

Submit your nominations by completing the

September 10. Submissions must include the name and affiliation of the
nominee, the committee for nomination (refer to list above), and a short
biographical sketch on the nominee along with confirmation of the acceptance
of the nomination and indication that they agree to carry-out the duties and
responsibilities as described. 

 

Full committee listings and terms are posted for all the

Committees. Current members of the Steering Committee will vote in October
to confirm all Executive Committee and Steering Committee appointments, the
RA/CP appointments will be made by vote of the respective committee. All new
terms start on January 1, 2026.
