Dear USWBSI Community,
After eight years of dedicated service, Dr. Ruth Dill-Macky will conclude
her role as Researcher Co-Chair of the U.S. Wheat & Barley Scab Initiative
(USWBSI). Under her leadership, USWBSI has advanced impactful research,
strengthened stakeholder collaboration, and elevated national awareness of
Fusarium Head Blight (scab) and its impact on wheat and barley.
As we look ahead, the Executive Committee is now accepting nominations for
its next USWBSI Researcher Co-Chair-a vital leadership role that will
continue to shape the future direction of the Initiative. Working in
partnership with the USWBSI leadership, the Researcher Co-Chair helps guide
strategic planning, coordinates research priorities, engages stakeholders,
advocates on behalf of the FHB community and oversees the Networking &
Facilitation Office (NFO).
A Call for Nominations with a detailed outline of the position description,
expectations and desired qualifications is available, and submissions are
being accepted now through June 30, via the links provided below.
