FHB Updates - Mid Atlantic SWW Region fhb-update_ma at scabusa.org

Flowering is past in Delaware wheat. Symptoms of head blight will be most
obvious 2-3 weeks after flowering, although you can see the start of symptom
development in as little as a week. Growers should scout fields during this
period to look for the presence of bleached heads. If a significant amount
are present, consider increasing the combine fan speed to remove tombstones
during harvest.
