Risk levels for scab remain low for Delaware and most of MD. Weather has
been dry and not favorable for scab, even with spotty showers that went
through last week. The majority of fields are well past flower, but a few
may be finishing up flowering this week or soon thereafter. Fields entering
flower through the end of the week may be at an elevated risk for scab with
major fronts moving through on the 28th and 29th. Prosaro, Proline, and
Caramba are recommended fungicides for FHB suppression and must be applied
at flowering or within 5 days of the start of flowering to be effective.
