FHB Update - Central GP, Hard Winter Wheat

Wheat in southeastern and south-central Kansas is at boot and heading stages
of development. Wheat in these areas will reach the growth stages critical
for Fusarium in roughly week to 10 days. Although the current risk of severe
disease is low, much of south central and eastern KS received rain in the
last 24-hours. This additional moisture could set the stage for humid
conditions that favor development of the fungus and infection of the crop.
We will be monitoring for the risk of disease and provide more updates soon.
