Wheat is heading and/or flowering in the southeastern and south central
parts of Nebraska. Heavy rainfall in these and other parts of the state over
the last several days has elevated the risk for Fusarium head blight (FHB)
outbreaks. Wheat growers should consider applying a fungicide at early
flowering to suppress FHB. The fungicides Prosaro at 6.5 fl oz/acre and
Caramba at 13.5 fl oz/acre have good efficacy in suppressing FHB.
