[FHB Update - Central GP, Hard Winter Wheat]

The Kansas wheat crop is currently at the jointing and flag leaf emergence
stages of growth. Most growers in Central and Western Kansas are concerned
about recent freezing temperatures. The yield potential of fields with
freeze damage is uncertain. Freeze damage also makes it difficult to
estimate growth stages, because of damage to the primary tillers. At this
point, however, I think it will be several weeks before we reach the
critical stages of growth for Fusarium infection.
