The wheat in Kansas has resumed growth in nearly all areas of the state. Wheat in South Central Kansas will enter the jointing stages of growth over the next 7 to 10 days and will likely reach the flowering stages of growth during the last week of April or the first week of May. Western Kansas is still experiencing abnormally dry conditions. It is still too early to evaluate the risk of Fusarium head blight in Kansas. Tan Spot, and leaf rust have been reported near Manhattan in Northeast KS.
