April 19 | 12-5PM Central

GDER-PBG Joint Mid-year Meeting 

The USWBSI Gene Discovery and Engineering Resistance (GDER) and Pathogen
Biology and Genetics (PBG) research area committees are planning a mid-year
joint meeting which will take place virtually on Friday, April 19, from
12:00-5:00 PM CST. An impressive lineup of presentations has been organized
and a comprehensive agenda is now available: 2024 GDER-PBG Joint Mid-year
Meeting Agenda

purpose of this meeting is to gain feedback, exchange ideas, and facilitate
increased interaction and collaboration between these two research areas.
The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the GDER and

FHB Diagnostics Webinar for Students/Post-Docs

The USWBSI graduate student and post-doc organization GPFHB (Graduate
Students and Post-docs in FHB) is hosting a free webinar on diagnosing FHB
in the field with Dr. Nathan Kleczewski from GROWMARK. GPFHB invites all
graduate students and post-docs working on FHB to attend this event on April
25 at 12PM PT/1PM MT/2PM CT/3PM ET and learn more from an industry expert.

2024 Scabinar

Last month, the live 2024 Scabinar featured experts from across different
wheat and barley production regions in the U.S. who provided the most
current information on managing Fusarium head blight in wheat and barley. It
was focused on fungicides and their use for management of Fusarium head
blight and associated mycotoxins that can contaminate grain. The event was
recorded and is now available for continued reference
