Dear Graduate Students and Post-Doctoral Researchers,
We would like to invite you all to the next USWBSI ScabNet event. Join us
on *Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. ET* for a webinar featuring Dr. Tim
Widmer, USDA-ARS National Programs Leader-Plant Health. Dr. Widmer is the
point of contact for all USDA-ARS projects related to plant health and is
involved with antimicrobial resistance, soil health, and plant-related
issues in food biosecurity. He is the ARS Principal Investigator for the
Congressional appropriated Wheat Scab and Predictive Modeling Tool
Initiatives. He joined USDA-ARS in 2000 where he worked as a Research Plant
Pathologist up until 2018 when he took his current position as National
Program Leader. Dr. Widmer received his PhD in Plant Pathology at the
University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida and completed a post-doc
position at Cornell University in Geneva, NY. We hope to see you all there.
