[fhb] Time to Start Your USWBSI Pre-Proposal

USWBSI FY22 Pre-Proposal Submissions 
Due September 21

 

Dear FHB Community,

 

September is the month for USWBSI pre-proposals! Submission of Pre-Proposals
in all Categories are due by September 21, 2021 via the enhanced USWBSI EPS
System with full details and instructions available at the
<https://scabusa.org/research_rfp-fy22/> USWBSI FY22 RFP site.

 

New Method for Submission

The online form process has been updated. The  <https://scabusa.org/EPS/>
FY22 Pre-Proposal "Submission Form" is an online submission with several
elements now collected directly through an online form with individual
upload links included for your Project Summary & Description, Budget, and
CV/Pubs information. 

 

Start your pre-proposal by going to the  <https://scabusa.org/EPS/> USWBSI
EPS System (you just need your project title and research category to
initiate an online submission) and return as needed to finalize. Fill out
the form and use the
<https://scabusa.org/research_rfp-fy22/forms_templates> applicable templates
to complete/update your specific information pertaining to your project
proposal and upload into your submission. The Lead PI will need to be the
individual logged in to the EPS system for the submission.

 

For those of you who have received USWBSI funding before, you can still use
the content from your prior documents, but you will need to copy and paste
into the online form or associated templates. 

 

New Options

A few new elements to consider as you prepare your USWBSI pre-proposal this
year:

*       Extended Project Term. Option to submit pre-proposals with either a
4-year or 2-year term.

*       Changed Tracking of DON Samples. DON estimates are no longer
required in pre-proposals. However, if you are new to the USWBSI, we do need
to know if you will be requiring DON analysis of grain samples. Be sure to
include a section in your project description regarding DON analysis if you
will need to use these services if funded.

*       Use of Excel-based Budget Templates. An Excel template with built-in
formulas, space for justification narrative, and auto-generation of the
budget summary page is provided for upload. The templates were designed for
use in Excel only; use in Google Sheets is not recommended.  

*       Updated FAQs. Check out additional updates in the
<https://scabusa.org/rfp/FY22_RFP_FAQ.pdf> Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
section.
