FHB Colleagues,

We hope everyone is doing well. We wanted to make you aware of our October Featured Researcher post on the What’s Hot news feed of ScabUSA <https://scabusa.org/>.

Our current featured researcher is Dr. Paul Schwarz. Dr. Schwarz is a professor at North Dakota State University. He has been a part of the USWBSI for over 20 years and has been the lead PI for the NDSU Barley DON testing lab. Some of his other projects throughout the years have focused on examining the distribution of DON contamination in grain kernels and malt, determining the localization of Fusarium within the kernel, and evaluating infection parameters and storage conditions that affect the viability and growth of Fusarium during the malting process.

Please learn more about Dr. Schwarz's research <https://scabusa.org/featured-researcher-bio/Paul-Schwarz> and join us in congratulating him on his commitment to FHB research and DON testing for the past 20 years and the numerous other PI’s project he has aided.

Warm regards,
Amber
