[FHB] Pre-Registration/EPS System - Clarification

It should have been made clear in the message below that only PIs need to
complete both steps of the pre-proposal registration process. Co-PIs only
need to complete step 1, however, they will not be granted access to the EPS
System until a pre-proposal registration form designating them as a Co-PI
has been received by the NFO.

Sorry for the oversight.

Subject: FY16-17 RFP - Pre-Registration/EPS System

Dear Colleagues:

The Electronic Pre-Proposals Submission (EPS) System for the FY16-17 RFP is
now open. Anyone submitting a pre-proposal to the USWBSI for FY16-17 under
any category (i.e. Commodity-based, VDHR-Uniform Nursery or Integrated
Management Coordinated Project or an Individual Research Area, must
pre-register.

The Pre-Proposal Registration process consists of two steps and both steps
must be completed before individuals will be granted access to the EPS
System.

* Step 1 - Creating User Account: All PIs and Co-PIs must setup a
user account. The EPS System is running on a new platform, so if you had a
user account under the previous EPS system (i.e. FY14), you will need to
setup a new user account. The user registration form can be accessed at
http://scabusa.org/user/register.
Note: Creating a new user account is a multi-step process, which includes
the approval of the new account by the NFO. Depending on the timing of when
the new user account form is submitted (i.e. outside of normal business
hours), it could take between 24-48 hours for the new account to be
approved. Once the new account is approved, the user will receive an email
with a link to set their password.

Step 1 must be completed before Step 2 can be completed.

* Step 2 - Proposed Research Form: Information submitted on this
form pertains to the proposed research (i.e. pre-proposal) that will be
submitted. A separate form must be completed for each proposed research
project being submitted. After logging in on the USWBSI's home page, click
on the link below (or copy and paste into browser) and then follow the
instructions included on the form - http://scabusa.org/pre_reg.php.

As always, do not hesitate to contact the NFO if you have any
questions/concerns.

Regards,
